 Yes, the layered look has evolved my friend. No longer will just a short sleeve graphic tee over a long sleeve tee do the trick. No siree. If you want to be stylish, trendy, and way "in" you've got to get creative. Maybe a solid colored short sleeve tee under a printed sleeveless top or a striped long sleeve button down shirt under a solid colored 3/4 length sweater. Anthropologie has some great examples on how to do it. And so does just about every hip happening store you go into. Just look around, you'll see what I mean.
My advice....figure out what you're comfortable with and go for it. There are no rules here....or least none I have figured out yet. It's pretty much anything goes. Within reason of course. And while the sweater/shirt with a cami underneath look is still huge, layering with something unexpected will make you look oh so current. Have fun.
