 Yes, this was definitely the year to play it safe. It started with the Golden Globes and now the Oscars. Everyone is going with gowns that are most certainly lovely, but definitely not too crazy and over the top. Lots of neutral colors and gowns with pockets. I loved the gowns with pockets. And the hair, very casual and very lovely. Nicole Kidman and Reese looked awesome, so did Jennifer Aniston. Keira Knightley too. And Michelle Williams in the yellow/orangish color dress. Very different and fun.
But probably the biggest surprise of the night - the Oscar for best picture. Crash beat out Brokeback Mountain. I certainly didn't see that one coming. George won though. Yippee! Reese won too. So did Philip Seymour Hoffman. Nothing too surprising there.
