 Everyone loves a bit of red for Valentine's Day; however the trick is not overdoing it. Thankfully, Stacy London from 'What Not to Wear' was on the 'TODAY Show' yesterday with some tips on how to do it up right. Check out the entire segment online at ivillage.com. And since red is also hot for Spring '07, anything you buy for your big night out you can also wear all season long. I love that.
Here are few of my favorite reds for spring.
This Coastal Wheels Eyelet Skirt from AT LOFT is one of my favorite skirts of the season. The length is great, so is the eyelet, which is all the rage for spring, and the color is a perfect shade of red. Plus it has cute little pockets to boot and all at a price that can't be beat. Dress it up with a big patent belt and shoes for a night on the town or with a tee and pretty sandals for a more casual look.
J.Crew has a great selection of tees, sweaters, shorts & more in a color called strawberry ice (some of which are only available in stores). One of my favs - these awesome Lucie high heels. Not too red, but not pink either, these shoes and this color are really great for spring.
And this lipstick red Castanet dress from Anthropologie is lovely as well. Pair with a cropped cardigan sweater for now or all by itself later. Very fun.
