 So if you didn't see Oprah's Shlumpadinka Makeover show on Wednesday, call your girlfriends. Maybe someone remembered to TiVo it. Otherwise checkout out bits and pieces of it on Oprah.com. It was a really great show. Like I said they basically gave some deserving women a much needed makeover. But what I loved most was that the looks were nothing outrageous. They were totally doable and oh so affordable. Stylist Lloyd Boston did an amazing job putting outfits together from stores we all know and love like Gap, J.Crew, JCPenney and more. Very Savvie.
Also on the show - Boston's top wardrobe essentials. Very cool. The list included everything from a black tneck to white jeans and black pants. Also on the list - a classic trench coat. Every woman needs one he says. I totally agree and this month I'm going to find one. So let our search for the next "must own" item begin. And since I didn't have much luck with the loungewear thing, let's hope this trench coat search goes a little better. I'll keep you posted.
Oh and if someone has one of those wash and wear, no iron white shirts from Brooks Brothers that they also featured on the show, do tell. Are they really as fabulous as Chicago-based fashion editor Stacy Wallace-Albert would have us believe? I'm dying to know. |
